Enabling high-resolution spectroscopy over the molecular stretch region

Executive Summary

Spectroscopy of the molecular stretch region (2.7-4.0µm) is used for gas detection, combustion research, and quantum technology. TOPTICA’s hands-free CW OPO achieves the widest tuning (1.45-4.00µm) without realignment or optics exchanges. It can be locked to NIR combs for extreme accuracy in the MIR, and NIR frequency modulation can be applied to its seed laser for advanced techniques such as cavity ring-down spectroscopy.
